Together, we can create foundational programs and opportunities that reduce barriers and provide all individuals with a clear path into patent law.
Patent Pathways® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing barriers to equal opportunity in the patent bar through free, virtual education, practical exercises, and financial support.
Law Firm Partners are an integral part of the Patent Pathways® Program. Your support allows individuals to partake in the program, register for the patent bar and jumpstart their career without incurring a financial burden. Partners have the opportunity to interview and hire participants directly from the program, and gain visibility across Patent Pathways® social media channels, website, and related publicity.
Additional partner benefits include:
- Opportunities to network with in-house counsel at leading corporations
- Ability to mentor new practitioners and share your experiences in patent law
- Receive credits within your firm for DEI and pro bono activities
- Access a pool of highly talented, vetted, and trained candidates, who law firms can hire directly out of the program
- Make a difference by helping individuals obtain successful careers and fulfill their goals
- Become part of a revolutionary program that will transform accessibility to the patent bar

Option B — Internship Commitment
Provide a three-month paid internship for a Patent Pathways® participant or alumnus.
We’ve found that hands-on experience in a law firm setting is one of the most critical factors in helping our participants successfully launch careers in patent law — and a structured internship directly addresses that gap.
Internship candidates may include current Patent Pathways® participants, recent program graduates, or individuals identified through our participant portal.
